If ever there was a time to dump tesla it is now.

More reason to not buy .... he doesn't need anyone's support..let his shareholders carry the burden .... may all the oligarchs "eat their own" ... back stabbing has already started

I am so disgusted by these billionaires. They are hoarding wealth while people struggle to keep a roof above their head or put food on the table. And the large majority of these poor people work but corporations decided not to pay them a living wage. The system is rigged and only works for a few people on the top of the pyramid-at the expense of everyone else. This has got to stop! We don’t need them, they need us. Us giving them our labor and our money.

No human on earth needs a billion, let alone a trillion!

I hope you realize that the only way to change at this point is by revolution. Are we ready? If not now, at what point does it become too late? At what point do they have so much control, power and information over us that we are no longer able to lift our arms? At what point do they have us so weak, so drugged up, so mentally incapable of seeing the truth, that we simply slide under?

Capitalism, we are getting a clear eye view of what Capitalism really is with this shut down.

The Good Rage's avatar

Yes, I think it’s the toxic triangle: white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism.

Boy, are they going to be sorry.

Meta estimated that 10% of its revenue last year “would come from ads for scams and banned goods,” according to a report from Reuters. (Reuters)

Only 10%? I didn't realize there was anything on Facebook that wasn't a scam.

Full disclosure: I've bought one item on Facebook and I got scammed out of $60. Live and learn.

Katy Bolger's avatar

Does that mean you held onto $540? Good for you. Get off of Facebook, stop supporting a crooked and insidious billionaire class.

The $274 million per day figure really puts the magnitude of this into perspectiv for people who dont follow Tesla closely. Whether its justifed depends entirely on execution, but the fact that shareholders voted for it shows they belive the upside potential far outweighs the cost.

No, it shows the Tesla board is compromised of syncophatic enablers, whose paper fortunes depend on Musk continuing his conman routine for an absurdly gullible tech media.

Otherwise, Tesla is a declining, wildly overvalued car company wildly outplayed by China...whose self-driving tech, robotics, and price points outstrip Tesla by galaxies.

There is a race with China to get back to the Moon. US looses….Elons fault

Katy Bolger's avatar

Well, to be fair, China has never been to the moon. I imagine one day soon, they will get there, and with Musk in charge of the American space program, our astronauts will be floating in space, or worse. Of course, human beings will not be in those space suits, but rather Musk's robots. Does that count?

June Kahn's avatar

Yup, Tesla shows us frequently how poorly designed they are. Fewer buyers are rushing to the show(rooms). Tesla is a scam and a loser compared to the Chinese products. They're actually ugly death traps, as much as regular automobiles. Not "state of the art" products at all.

Greedy greedy greedy.

June Kahn's avatar

I've got a suspicion that "teslar" as trump called it on the day he was praising Musk at the Tesla "showroom" will be short-lived. trump mistook the stylized letter "a" as an "r" and that shows a glimpse of trump's advancing dementia. "Teslar" - indeed!

Elon Muskkk - the best argument goin’ for income limitations and wealth redistribution … unlimited wealth requires unlimited responsibility to all those who made it possible. For those like Muskkk, unlimited wealth has unleashed his unlimited narcissism …

Jeffrey Jon Bode’'s avatar

Tesla’s shareholders don’t seem too smart.

Katy Bolger's avatar

But they sure are greedy

You say:

"GOP leaders and billionaires met to plan the party’s post-Trump future. During a 2019 meeting in Ohio, several top conservative figures, including right-wing billionaire Rebekah Mercer and media personality Tucker Carlson, convened to map out the future of the Republican Party. The group, which dubbed itself the “Rockbridge Network” and is receiving funding from tech leaders, ultimately chose J.D. Vance as Trump’s ideal successor. (Washington Post)"

Why is a 2019 meeting being hailed as current news? Care to bet whether or not this same group would endorse J.D. Vance today? If they would, then they are crazier than Trump.

SR's avatar

Unless elections are rigged. Vance is very willingly manipulated it's why they want him.

Karen Tucker's avatar

The big tech billionaires are trying to take over the world. First they need to take over America and they are attempting to do that by taking over the republican party.

June Kahn's avatar

That calculation is beyond obscene. Thanks for doing the math!

They like the Nazi because he is a Nazi pig.

The failure of Thiels Kamikazi Drone start up is no surprise. Fact it that the US military is not fit to fight a 21lst Century war.

Two factors mitigate against us Hegseth and ourDominionist generals/flag officers and the MIC.

Look to Ukraine how to fight in this century. A de centralized defense industry if you can call mom and pop drone factories and almost instantaneous response to Russian measures and counter measures.

Ukranians produce weapons and defenses in days, in the cellars of homes, by cobbled together drones.

In the US it takes years for the Defense Department to let a Request for Proposal, with specs, and for industry develop a bid, and then for the project to be approved and then years of build, test, evaluation and finally adoption.

The F117 as it's name tells the story, was conceptualized in the early 1960's before the Air Force abandoned it's century series designation., they were making cockpit handles for it in 1969.

Russia has fleets of FPV drones and trained operators to place behind the lines, and swarms of hundreds if not thousands of decoy, surveillance and suicide drones and Thiel can't even get off the ground, The Air Force would do better by leaning out Best Buy of Drones an cameras.

As Pogo said, I've seen the enemy and it was us.
